Captain Vinny Schettino

Meet Captain Vinny Schettino a USCG-licensed, insured, and a lifelong Boston Harbor angler. Vinny has been fishing Boston Harbor and the North Shore since he was a kid, and over the years he’s built the kind of local knowledge you only get by spending season after season on the same water learning how fish move with the tides, where they stage, and when the harbor turns on.

He specializes in Striped Bass and Bluefish inshore, and when the weather window is right he runs offshore trips for Bluefin Tuna. Vinny’s style is hands-on and personal: he’ll coach beginners through their first fish, keep kids engaged and safe, and help experienced anglers fine-tune technique to capitalize when the bite is hot. Expect a trip that feels relaxed and fun, but always purposeful because your time on the water matters.

Vinny is also known for being obsessive about the details premium rods, reels, and tackle, clean rigging, and a boat that’s organized and ready so you’re fishing efficiently from the first stop to the last. Safety is a priority on every trip, and he takes pride in running a professional operation that keeps your group comfortable and confident.

Most trips depart from Winthrop Town Landing, and for added convenience we can arrange pickup and drop-off at many locations around Boston Harbor and beyond for an additional fee.

Meet Captain Mark DeAngelo, one of the most seasoned captains in our fleet with decades of experience on local waters. Mark’s passion for fishing started young, learning side by side with his father, a well-known writer in local fishing magazines. That upbringing wasn’t just about catching fish. It was about understanding the why, reading conditions, dialing in technique, and respecting the water.

Now a USCG-licensed captain, Mark brings a lifetime of hands-on knowledge to every trip. He’s the kind of captain who can coach a beginner through their first fish just as easily as he can help an experienced angler fine-tune the details to make the day count. Expect a trip that’s relaxed, professional, and full of the insight you only get from someone who’s spent decades doing this for real, plus a few great stories along the way.

The "Angelina Ellie" is our purpose-built Boston Harbor fishing platform: a 2021 Pair Custom 24 Deep V powered by twin Mercury 225 four-strokes for a fast, smooth, and confident ride to the grounds. She’s one of the faster boats in Boston Harbor, built to get you to the bite efficiently when time and conditions matter. The deep-V hull handles chop comfortably, so we can spend less time getting there

and more time with lines in the water.

Onboard, you’ll find a serious electronics package built for finding fish in real conditions. The Angelina Ellie is equipped with SIMRAD displays including dual 12" NSS EVO3 units, a 9" NSS EVO3 in the tower, Halo 20 radar, and full sonar capability including SideScan, DownScan, and traditional sonar. Whether we’re tracking bait, marking structure, or navigating changing visibility, the technology helps us stay dialed in.

The layout is open, clean, and made for fishing. A spacious deck gives everyone room to move, fight fish, and stay involved, with multiple in-floor storage lockers and a large console to keep gear organized and out of the way. All required safety equipment is USCG-approved, and we run a safety-first setup every trip.
